ArtScan uses the ScanView 4000 drum scanner for the highest quality scans from original transparencies - slides in 35mm, 2.25, 6cm, 4x5, and 8x10 film formats. Photomultiplier tube technology surpasses even the best CCD based scanners in optical resolution and sharpness. More dynamic range and color depth is captured in shadows and highlights from true drum scans. This is the highest quality input device and is used to bring out the finest detail in originals for the highest quality reproductions. CQ award winning input software to RGB or CMYK 16 bit output. Our standard scan services include critical prescan corrections, selective sharpening, dust spotting, final tone and color correction on industry standard calibrated monitors. We scan to RGB for photo and art reproductions and 4-color CMYK separations as required for different paper stocks, inks, custom printer specs or custom press profiles.
